Rules[edit]

Place in the grid digits from 1 to N so that each row and column contains each digit exactly once. Numbers outside the grid show the total of all numbers appearing in corresponding rows and columns. These numbers are separated by at least one empty cell.

History of the puzzle[edit]

Invented by Vladimir Portuglaov (Belarus). First appeared on forsmarts Puzzle Book 4 (2007)[2].
