Four Snails
Rules[edit]
Write the given words along the snails, in the order from outside towards the middle. The same letter can not appear more than once in each row and column. Sign "-" means there is no letter in cell. Some letters are already given.
(Rules and example from the 10th 24hPC IB[1])
Rule variations[edit]
- Contrary to its name, there is no need for the puzzle to have exactly four snails.
- Word Hitori Snail from WPC 2017/Round 23: Furthermore, cells without a letter cannot share an edge. Although this variation is called Hitori, there were no rules about the connectivity.
History of the puzzle[edit]
Invented by Nikola Živanović (Serbia) according to Marko Obradović. [2] Probably first appeared on the 10th 24-Hour Puzzle Championship (2009).
