Diagonal Difference

Rules[edit]

Place a digit from 1 to X into each cell so that each digit appears exactly once in each row and column. (X is the number of cells in each row.) A Number on a corner indicates the difference between two diagonally formed two-digit numbers, reading from top to bottom.

History of the puzzle[edit]

Appeared on WPC 2015/Round 8 as an instructionless puzzle and later used as a "surprise" genre at WPC 2015/Individual Playoffs. Author of the puzzles were Vladimir Portuglaov (Belarus).
